All around complex fracture treatment and joint replacement in hand surgery

Course objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize complex distal radius fractures and identify their treatment.
  • Understand the classification of complex metacarpal fractures and how these should be fixed.
  • Recognize malunions in distal radius and metacarpal fractures and their treatment.
  • Conduct a PIP arthroplasty for both primary reconstruction and post trauma.
  • Understand the surgical technique of ulna shortening and ulna head replacement.
     

Course fee 1190 € | Early bird special until October 31, 2025: 890 € 
(The course fee comprises all course costs, coffee breaks, lunches and bus transfers on all course days. The dinner on both course days is also included. A production tour of BIRG's industrial partner KLS Martin on the morning of the first course day is optional, voluntary and also included in the course fee.)
